ECoW - Bridge Rehabilitation Project

AVRIO have recently completed ECoW as part of a bridge rehabilitation scheme in the west of Ireland.

Construction works undertaken entailed development of a new concrete apron slab across the full width of the river downstream, a concrete toe beam constructed upstream and the laying of new rock armour placed in the river bed upstream and downstream of the bridge. A damaged section of stone masonry river retaining wall was additionally removed and replaced with reinforced concrete retaining walls.
