Project: Forest Park Footbridges Rehabilitation Project

Services Provided: AVRIO was appointed to undertake a number of environmental and ecological services as part of a project for the rehabilitation of footbridges and associated pathways within a forest park in County Tyrone. The client had tasked AVRIO with undertaking a pre-construction protected species survey and the development of an environmental Construction Method Statement (CMS). The services provided by AVRIO included the following:
- Undertaking a pre-construction protected species survey of the development site and extended area to understand if the development had potential to impact on any protected species. The following species were taken into consideration for the survey:
- Red squirrel;
- Pine Marten;
- Nesting Birds;
- Badger;
- Otter; and
- Bats.

- The development of a Construction Method Statement (CMS) detailing all necessary ecological and environmental pollution prevention measures to be implemented for the projected works of the replacement/refurbishment of a number of footbridges and associated pathways.
